This is just a test....

When I first created this blogger account I linked it with my Windows profile and decided I didn't like that. I tried to unlink it a couple weeks ago so this is a test to see if it will still appear on my windows profile page. I don't know why it bugged me-- I just didn't like seeing all of my blog titles lined out like that. I'm a freak, I know. I'm sure I'll probably end up re-linking it in the end.

I joined a 24 hour gym Thursday. It's close to my house, too, which is awesome. I like that its open 24/7... when I was struggling to find time to get there today I remembered being a member at the YMCA and always having a very hard time fitting it in to my schedule. Today I went from 8:45 PM to about 10:30 PM. Yesterday I went from 8:45 PM to 9:45 PM. I think the YMCA closed by like 9, (and way earlier on the weekends)-- which is nearly impossible for me most days. And, I liked going to this new gym late because basically no one was there! A few guys lifting and a couple of girls on the cardio machines. I explored quite a bit and played around with several different machines. LOL--I also saw a stool/platform type thing that I watched a girl cry over on the show Biggest Loser recently. They told her to jump on the stool. She couldn't or wouldn't, I don't know which. When I saw the same type of stool at the gym tonight I really, really bad wanted to try to jump on it. I didn't have the guts. I was afraid I might kill myslef!! If I hadn't watched that show and someone said to me- "jump onto that stool" I'd be like, ummm-- ok! Now it seems pretty scary to me!!! LMAO

So-- I was told I should keep a log of what I am doing each day, so I can track my progress. I'm good at doing what I'm told so I think I will. I'm not sure it matters at this point, I just want to be doing something. I tried to blame my most recent weight gain on the medicine I'm taking but when I mentioned it to my doctor he basically said no, it wasn't. Now unfortunately he has a note in my file to get my weight at each visit. =( If I didn't feel like a lab rat before that kinda pushed it over the edge for me. Weight loss would be a nice side effect of the exercise. I have a bunch of pants that I can't wear right now and its pissing me off!! =) I also plan on going down hill skiing at least once this winter so I need to prepare for that. I don't want to live my life worried about the "what ifs" all the time, so I decided I'm not going to. :p

For the generic log- tonight I focused on lower body--legs/hips. I did the oblique machine and a lower back machine too. Then I did 1 mile on the eliptical, cardio routine. Oh! I also tried this other thing where you kind of hang and bring your knees up to your chest. I did 10 reps twice on that. You press against this comfy half ball deal and as I lifted my legs I could feel my spine snap crackle and popping. I actually laughed out loud! I really should go see the chiro... lmao.

    The plyo box that the girl was trying to jump on can be done must easier than they were making it for her. Um...hello TV Producers...it's portable! Place it next to something that she can grab onto when she jumps on it. Or how about this, all you team members standing around, "encouraging" her...stand on either side and "catch" her as she jumps on it. That show really pisses me off! LOL

    It's mental...you can do it. And soon you'll be looking for the taller boxes to jump up on. I'm totally jealous! We don't have plyo boxes and I want them badly. We tell the owners that we're just wearing out their weight benches, jumping on those, but they are good with that. LOL
